Started working in food co-ops while still in college in 1974. First at the predecessor to Mississippi Market in St. Paul, Minnesota, then with DANCe, one of the co-op warehouses until the mid 80s.
Eventually started Triangle Park Creative in 1989, a graphic design company that works with economic, environmental, and social sustainability oriented enterprises like co-ops and nonprofits.
Before taking on CGN for a few years, was publisher of Cooperative Grocer magazine.
Served on Seward Community Co-op in Minneapolis a few times over three different decades.
Coolest co-op thing: winner of the Howard Bowers Fund's Co-op Service Award in 2009.
