As I look back over the past 10 years at the Co-op, one of the pivotal stars in the sky for me has been CGIN. It is a brilliant means to communicate cooperatively, so we can all avoid recreating the proverbial wheel. Thank you, everyone who participates in making CGIN what it is.
Because I have felt so strongly about all this, I threw my energy into organizing interested HR folks at CCMA, first via an email list, then the HR list-serve with CGIN. I’m the ‘gatekeeper’ who’s been enthusiastically welcoming new members ever since.
I’m honored to run for the Board of CGIN, and so asked myself, “What experience would I bring, for your consideration?”
My work experience is broad, based in Pennsylvania community mental health (counseling, case/social work, start-ups, program management) and in NYC government (planning in the field of Aging, then learning about automation & budgeting at OMB). I completed a M.A. in “organization dynamics,” then was engaged to help professionalize Allegheny County government including a stint managing Computer Services.
