Crystal Colby
Crystal joined Triangle Park Creative in April 2009 on the heels of a four-year stint at the Minnesota Council on Foundations, where she spearheaded a number of electronic communication tools, including MCF’s popular e-newsletters and its “Philanthropy Potluck” blog. Steeped in web-based communication work for over eight years, Crystal is committed to being a user advocate, helping organizations understand how their audiences want to receive and process information and then designing web tools and strategies that are responsive and engaging.
After studying journalism and management at the U of M, Crystal worked with the Timberwolves and Lynx basketball teams, helping those organizations develop their web presence. And while her shift to the nonprofit sector was a conscious one—based on a passion for work that makes a lasting impact on our community—her love of sports continues. She serves as a statistician for a variety of teams, including the Lynx, Gopher volleyball and the Swarm, and was delighted to be part of a recent NBA preseason tour in Istanbul and London.
Crystal’s work with Triangle Park focuses on web architecture and project management: helping clients construct effective websites and navigate web 2.0 opportunities, and providing oversight and guidance throughout the web development process.
