Mississippi Market is hiring a full time Deli Manager for the Selby store.  Responsibilities include meeting goals for sales, labor and margin; managing the production, merchandising, receiving, and stocking of prepared foods and meats in a service environment; supervising 35 Deli, Meat, and Cheese staff; modeling and ensuring excellent customer service; and working with the West 7th location to fulfill orders; providing excellent customer service; ensure appropriate standards are met with regards to sanitation, safe food handling practices, handling and labeling of organic ingredients, allergens, and special diets; additional duties as required.  Qualifications include: Familiarity with natural foods industry; 3+ years’ experience in a commercial kitchen; computer literacy; supervisory experience; and strong communication skills.  Essential physical requirements include: Ability to consistently lift 30 pounds, and up to 50 occasionally; ability to work on feet for entire shift, moving between the sales floor, coolers, and freezer; and ability to frequently bend, stoop and reach.
