TreeHuggers Organics - Natural Foods
Three Lakes, Wisconsin
Three Lakes, Wisconsin is a small community nestled on the boundary of the 650,000-acre Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest and is home to many more than three lakes. The tourist oriented community offers an abundance of opportunity for outdoor pursuits and a picturesque downtown reminiscence of childhood summer vacations and is located, ironically, in a county classified as a USDA Food Dessert due to limited of access to fresh fruits and vegetables.
TreeHuggers Organics - Natural Foods (TreeHuggers) will work to solve this problem. Residents of and visitors to Three Lakes and the surrounding communities will now have the opportunity to enjoy their grocery shopping experience within a cooperative-type grocery atmosphere that offers organic foods, fresh fruits and vegetables, natural personal care and other natural products, and a connection with local farmers and producers as well as the numerous artists in the area.
TreeHuggers will be the first of its kind in Three Lakes and is expected to open April 1, 2014. TreeHuggers will be located in an attractive, small building at a busy intersection and will consist of the manager, part-time staff, and volunteers.
