We are the Brattleboro Food Cooperative, a community of shareholders, employees and great customers, committed to natural and organic foods. We have moved into a brand new store and we have an immediate opening for a Financial Manager to help us meet the challenges of our new venture. Reporting to our General Manager, this position oversees all of our financial management operations.
We’re looking for a special person... someone who is a seasoned financial manager with appropriate leadership skills.
So...what should you bring to the table? Well...a good sense of humor, at least seven to ten years financial management experience (preferably in the retail food industry and ideally with a natural and organic background), experience with the development of Business Plans and annual operating and capital budgets, strong accounting skills, experience in the preparation of financial statements and documents, experience with tax reporting and I.R.S. compliance, a familiarity with financial ratios and BOD reporting, an ability to work with diverse communities and strong computer skills.
