Amazing Grains Natural Foods Market is seeking a General Manager. Established in 1972, Amazing Grains is North Dakota's only co-op grocery store. Sustained throughout most of its history by a small but dedicated group of customers and member-owners, Amazing Grains has experienced a boom in recent years. Sales in 2012 were $1.3 million and our member-owners now number over 1,400. Amazing Grains is currently in the early stages of planning for an expansion to accommodate and nurture this exciting growth.
As the General Manager you will be the leader in all store functions including store operations, sales, merchandising, quality, cost and financial control, strategic planning and the ensuring a positive customer experience. Your work will also involve supporting the Associate Manager with recruitment, hiring, supervision and training of all store staff. You will be responsible for promoting a positive work environment that encourages learning and staff promotion. You must be able to exhibit confidence and leadership and possess a vision for the future of our co-op. The General Manager reports directly to the Board of Directors.
