Education Coordinator

 

Honest Weight Food Co-op is looking for an Education Coordinator to further the co-op's mission and commitment to our statements of conscience (http://www.hwfc.com/about.html) through consumer education and engagement. Job responsibilities include: Research & Advocacy, In Store Community Programming and Customer Education, and Support for Outreach Educational Programming.   A complete job description is attached. Be sure to return completed application and resume with your reply.   Our perfect candidate will meet the following qualifications:   -enthusiasm for working with the public -vision and experience in engaging the community -strong background in and familiarity with natural foods and the changing landscape of the industry -some college and/or professional experience -proven teaching skills -proven well-developed verbal and written communication skills -basic computer skills including use of email, Word, Excel, and some desktop publishing -self-motivated with excellent decision-making skills -ability to be well organized  -energetic, with physical strength to set up and break down displays at public and store events (able to lift 30 lbs. regularly) -experience with co-ops a major plus
