Class Fees for Those on Low Incomes
I'm interested in putting into place a system that offers our Co-op Educational Programming at a level that is accesible to those on all incomes.
In the past I've arranged for specific programs to send participants to our classes for $5.00 or for half price, etc. This case by case basis works but I'd like to see it happen across the board.
I'm working on language, ease of use for cashiers who register folks for classes and on the 'requirements.' Perhaps in the end we'll offer something like:
"If you are currently reciving SNAP and/or WIC benefits class fees at the Oneota Community Co-op are half price. Please show your card or folder at the Customer Service Desk when registering." (With a program offering our children's programs at reduced cost for those on free and reduced lunch).
Does anyone else offer something like this? I'd love to see the language you've used or the class fee levels used.
