Nominating Committee 2014: who might we recruit
Hi folks and here's the continuation of our email discussion. (I suspect we may occasionally use email, especially if we veer towards sensitive topics or evaluative comments.)
Annie and I are planning to call (and follow up with email) a number of potential candidates. We feel that (1) you've got some good ideas about who would be good Directors, and (2) sometimes a more-personal contact is effective for recruitment. We also plan to use the Discussion Groups on this site, and (perhaps) the email list of primary contacts at member co-ops to post a general call for candidates.
We have also suggested that you think about names of people who we might recruit. Please post (if you can) what Co-op they're with, and perhaps some details about why you think they'd add something great, or skills you've seen, or anything else that will help us if, in that instance, we're making a cold call to someone with whom we're unfamiliar.
