"Drift": GMO Thriller by Co-op Author

Set against the backdrop of turmoil in America’s food system, Drift, a thriller about GMOs (genetically modified organisms), has been written by Jon McGoran, a longtime Weavers Way Co-op communications director and occasional contributor to Cooperative Grocer.  Published by Forge Books earlier this year, Drift combines an action-filled storyline with strong concerns about GMOs in the food supply.  McGoran left Weavers Way after 30 years in March to become editor in chief at Grid, a monthly magazine covering issues of sustainability with a focus in Philadelphia (http://www.gridphilly.com). Due to be released in August is a sequel, titled Deadout, which again focuses on GMOs as well as honeybee Colony Collapse Disorder.  For more information visit http://www.jonmcgoran.com.
